Thunder Child was built from a Dick Hart produced Blue Thunder 2 kit and is powered by a Jet Bill Capinjola JB2 pulse jet. The model has been very reliable and pretty quick so far with a best official speed of 183mph. Great fun to fly! The Phunder Phart is a larger wing and tail area version of the Phire Phart that I previously flew. Dyna-Jet engine fitted. Barton Minx Club Speed model. PAW 09 powered. Grooves really nicely but made of Bass wood and a bit heavy to go real quick. Harry and Geoff Walkers lighter versions have gone 90mph+ in very windy conditions. Was inspired by the 'Pink Lady' The Millenium Falcon ( pictured here during a 2007 test flight ) held the UK 60 Speed Record at over 211mph.. Very impressive to watch.. ( It did 197mph during this 2007 test flight with a less than perfect propeller fitted )
