This model claimed second place at the 2014 BMFA Nationals. My latest Classic FAI model. Based on "Klotznorutski" powered with a Parra AAC engine. An example of an engine in use in Australian Classic FAI Team Race. An internally standard Parra engine. Shaft extention, spinner, Rothwell peripheral carb and needle valve fitted into a home made venturi adaptor have been manufactured to adapt the engine for use in Classic FAI Team Race. Mounted in a half pan from Andrew Nugent.

Classic FAI model built by John Hallowell. Engine used is a Parra 2.5cc AAC. Classic FAI T/R model built by Andrew Nugent. Power source is a Parra AAC. Line up of some Vintage A Team Racers in Melbourne. Left to Right:- Eliptical, Olympian, two Tarantula's, Tomahawk and Dimpled Dumpling. A new Aussie Classic FAI model built in Perth by Steve Walton. I believe the engine is a Parra.

Fora pwered Classic FAI team racer. Classic FAI teams at Frankston Grand Prix 2012 Andrew Robinson recently set a new New Zealand record of 211.83 mph at the NZ Nationals with this model. The semi-scale appearance of this Miles Hawk Speed Six shown with full size aircraft in the background.

Dave Shrum from Oregon built this semi-scale stunter. It came out at 39 oz’s which was a little heavier than he expected, but it might fly better in a little wind !!! These models were flown exceptionaly well by junior Tom Linwood at the Australian Nationals. Built from modified F2D models and powered by a Nelson .36 they are a very quick and agile beast.
