Laughing I'm glad you fessed up Ray. When I was flicking back through this thread I nearly fell over when I saw the pics of how tidy your garage 'was'. It was only a shadow of it's current glory(?)

Now that there's 2 of you working down there why not push the moke out on the street and point it for the lake.... make way for a glass cabinet. Very Happy

I'll try and take a few shed shot's on the weekend.

Brent

OH MY GOD
Ray.
I bow in your presence.
I thought mine was a minefield to walk through.
Atleast you actually produce the models where as mine simply get swallowed up.
Hail, hail the king.

Hi Kevin,
this is the fourth time I have written this message.
I have tried to ATTACH a number of photos of my models in my Workshop, but every time I try to SUBMIT, my computer DROPS OFF line, and I lose my message and ATTACHMENTS.
I have over 400 C/L models in my collection, and will attempt to ATTACH ONE photo from my Rumpus Room.
If this works OK I will try to ATTACH a few more photos in my Workshop and Rumpus Room.

Will now ATTACH a photo of my Models Under Construction
The APS Henri Stouffs Blue Pants in the middle is now finished, and the photo of this was shown on this site under Maryborough 2010, about four weeks ago.
The combat model on the left of the photo only requires the booms and elevators to be painted. This model is set up for a Merco 29.
The other models are Top Left a Midwest Mustang & Top Right an APS Foxstunter.
Betow the Foxstunter is an OK Pilot P 51 for OS Max 10, and under this a K.K. Phantom for DC 1.5 cc Sabre
Model in the front is a slightly enlarged ( from 28" to 32" ) Hearns Hobbies Skylark from 1949, for a Burford Taipan 2.5 cc BB Black head Diesel Mk 13

So Alwyn.....your secret is out.
Flippin' Nora!

I think we have a winner here.
Ray and John, please vacate the podium for our new champion.

Now.....if every one has an engine......hmmmmmmmmm??????

I really like the Olive-drabbed biplane winged ones with the roundels and that one in particular with the Lewis Gun mounted on the Centre Section.
(hmmmmm - I wonder why?)

Going back for another shufti.....

Unbelievable!

Alwyn!
Where do you build them, there's a life's work just to get down to the bare wood on the bench tops Wink

Do you build out in the garden, or have you some other shed that's used just for assembly? Confused

praise praise praise praise

You really have to move this one over to the workshop post for Alwyn.

THAT IS JUST AMAZING..... I am but an amature.

You have to go outside to fart in that workshop.

WOW.

Alwyn, that is a relief to me, despite what Eileen says I don't have the world's untidiest workshop.

My trouble is that I keep going off at tangents leaving half finished bits which get lost and have to be made again. I must have the attention span of a midge.

Accumulation of so many models means that either you don't fly them or you are one of those highly skilled guys who never break models. I am running out of space due to not flying often enough, so the carnage rate has fallen and space is not appearing for new stuff to fill. There's no point in building when you have no where to put the finished article.

Duly moved as requested.
Still incredible.
Have to steal the idea of a vertical storage rack for models though.
Simply brilliant!

I am too ashamed to show photos of my measly 6 x 8 metre 'shop, only about 30 models. Crying or Very sad

Plus the 6 or 10 under planning or construction Rolling Eyes

Cheers

I have been flying C/L in Queensland, with Colin Maybury for a number of years now.
About 4 years ago, I had to drive back to Melbourne ( Two day drive ) and Colin asked me if I wanted company for the two day drive.
Colin had not been back to Melbourne for over 20 years.
As it turned out, I had four C/L models in my collection ( purchased from the Trading Post !! ) which Colin had built for a frind, ALL those years ago.
I fitted an OS Max 25 FP to the APS Cougar ( originally OS Max 20 !! ) and an OS Max 25 to the other model
The Cougar is very heavy as Colin sheeted the wing with 1/16" balsa ( Col said it was the IN thing in those days !! ) and the profile model has the Fuz shape from the Cougar, and the wing is from the APS Foxstunter.
Colin was able to fly both of these models, built so many years earlier, at the Doncaster C/L field in Melbourne.
You can see the name San Dee, on the wing of the Cougar, which was named after his wife Sandra.
Colin and I flew our APS Blue Pants at the Maryborough Queensland C/L day on 19 June 2010, and Colin had fitted an OS Max 19 to his Blue Pants.
Colin also flew an APS Vic Smeed Madcap in the F/F on 20 June, with PAW 100 Diesel.
He had NEVER flown a F/F model before, and won TWO prizes, for Best Finished Vic Smeed Model, and Best Flight.
The photo of Colin with his Madcap was taken at the Maryborough R/C Field where we flew the C/L on the Saturday, 19 June 2010.
