Brownie should still be able to do a partial kit.

They make the build a heap easier.

I built mine as per the plan with two fins (rudder only wireless) and with a DC Sabre. It flies a treat. The AM should be ample.

Old thread, but I kinda like the way it looks. Allen-Mercury 1.5 is adequate then? As to "short kit"- whereof to obtain same? I always like giving the cottage guys business if I can. John

G'day John,

An A-M 1.5cc diesel would be ideal for a F/F or R/C Humbug. It's a very nice model too.
The partial kits were done by Dave Brown. Don't know if they are still available, but you could email him for the answer to this question.

Off topic: I know Texas is a slightly bigger than our Tasmania, but do you ever get up around Hereford or Brady?

Dave,

Thanks so much! It would be R/C "assist" just to keep it near the field so I don't have to chase (well at least not too much).
I haven't been up that way in a long time- about 4-5 hours drive to the West of me. Pretty country, lots more character than the coastal region. If I was looking for some land to retire on, I will probably look there.

Thank you sir. That was the idea- just for fun. I love Free Flight, but my legs don't. I have a Sabre too, I just have a couple of the AMs so I thought I'd use one there.

That was certainly the impression of him I got. That he bothered to take the time at all on his vacation out of country to answer my email was nice. Heck, I can't even get some guys here that I try and do business with to do that!
